All the prospective candidates who intend to apply for admission to the 4-year B.Sc.(Engg.) degree courses at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore for the session 2008-2009 are hereby informed as under.
- The Candidates are required to appear in the COMBINED ENTRY TEST for the Year 2008, to be conducted by the UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (U.E.T.) LAHORE, on 24TH AUGUST, 2008. The Test is MANDATORY for admission.
- The Faculty of Engineering & Technology will ACCEPT and consider VALID the Certified Result Card of Entry Test 2008 issued by U.E.T. for the determination of academic merit for the above-mentioned admission on F.Sc. Pre-Engg./B.Sc. Preceeded by F.Sc. Pre-Engg./Relevant Diploma (DAE) basis against Open Academic Merit seats as well as all categories of reserved seats EXCEPT for the Nominees of Provincial Government/Federal Government/ GHQ, and those reserved for Foreign Students. The Entry Test marks will carry 30 percent weightage based on 70-30 formula to be adopted for determining the merit for the said admission. Candidate NOT appearing in the above-mentioned Entry Test will be considered INELIGIBLE for admission.
- The Faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of the Punjab will announce the Sale of Prospectus/Application Form through Admission Notice which will be advertised in the leading national newspapers.
- The following 4-year B.Sc.(Engg.) degree courses for the session 2008-2009 will be offered by the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore :
1. B.Sc.(Engg) Chemical Engineering/Chemical Engineering with
specialization in Petroleum and Gas Technology
2. B.Sc.(Engg) Metallurgy & Materials Engineering
3. B.Sc.(Engg) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
4. B.Sc.(Engg.) Industrial Engineering & Management
- The General Eligibility Requirements for admission to the above-mentioned courses will be available in the prospectus as and when the admission starts.
