Selection: A completely transparent and merit based system of selection of teachers has been adopted with 50 marks for performance from Matric to Ph.Ds and 50 marks for the interview to include communication skills, aptitude and personality. The selection is followed by pre-service and in-service training.
From 1995 to 1999 only 35 Selection Boards were held, whereas, 232 Selection Boards have been held during the last 8 years. A total of 596 teachers have been selected on merit, who have made a change and improved the quality and standard of teaching.
Salary and Incentives for Teachers.
a. Evening programs have provided additional financial support to the teachers ranging from Rs. 25000/- to Rs. 80,000/- PM. Incentive of Rs.2000/-PM has also improved their performance. Increase in Ph.D. allowance by the present Government from Rs.1500/- to 5,000/- PM has also provided incentive to the teachers to do Ph.D.
b. Grant of grade 18 to Ph.D. lecturers has further provided incentive to the teachers.

Tenure Track System is being applied gradually for higher pay scales.
Training of Faculty
a. Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) was established in Feb. 2002 with the objective of faculty training through refresher courses to improve the quality of teaching.
b. Management training has also been started to acquaint teachers with the rules and regulations for administrative posts.
c. Pre-service and in-service training in communication skills, computer, multimedia and methods of teaching have been started to improve the quality of teaching.
d. Teachers regularly attend the National/International Seminars/Conferences.
e. Since its inception, the HRDC has conducted various programs ranging from training of faculty, staff and employees to the training of civil servants. Orientation and IT workshops held are:-
