Centre for South Asian Studies

The Centre was set up in its embryonic form in 1973 and acquired its present status in 1975. The Centre sets out to extend and improve the public understanding of Socio-economic and political developments in South Asia, particularly in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
