PU HCBF celebrates Anti-Corruption Day LAHORE: (Sunday, December 13, 2015): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance in connection with Anti-Corruption Week organized an event on “Say no to Corruption” in which DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Anwar Rasheed, Principal HCBF Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan, faculty members and a large number of students were participated. A special message was conveyed to the students through balloons and thread waving activities that “every no counts”. Students of BBA performed skit based on the Mughal-e-Azam theme and related it to corruption, delivering a message that how rulers punished the innocent people for their own sake. National songs of Sohni Dharti and Uth Jawana were also sung by students to enthuse the audience. Chart making competition was conducted in which students gave solutions to eradicate corruption. MBA students also performed a play which gave a message as how the authorities misuse their powers. In his address Anwar Rasheed shared his views about the importance of the day and how students, parents, teachers, institutes, politicians and other segments of society can play their part in preventing the corruption from grassroots level. He emphasized the importance of self-accountability. Dr Mubbsher said that corruption is the biggest danger faced to the country after terrorism as the elder generations been unsuccessful in controlling this menace. He said we are passing this responsibility to the young generation though NAB and Anti-corruption Department are performing their duties.
