PU VC condoles Jahangir Badr’s death


LAHORE: (Monday, November 14, 2016): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has expressed deep sense of sorrow over sad demise of renowned politician Mr Jahangir Badr. In his condolence message, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that the country had deprived of a veteran politician who did politics of public. He said that Mr Badr believed in democratic values and had a wonderful memory. He said that Mr Badr had faced imprisonment and torture in his career but remained a moderate politician. He said that Mr Badr joined Punjab University as student at Hailey College of Commerce around 50 years ago and he also taught students of the college as teacher. He said Mr Badr had earned his LLB degree and did his PhD from Punjab University in 2013 in the subject of Pakistan Studies.

He said that Mr Badr always remained loyal to his leader and party in his life. The VC prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace and Almighty Allah may grant courage to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
