PU HCBF organizes seminar


LAHORE: (Friday, 27, 2018): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance Principal Prof Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan has said that the menace of corruption can only be eradicated if resistance against it is created at family level. He was speaking at the concluding session of the Seminar “Say No to Corruption” held in collaboration with NAB Lahore at HCBF. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan advised the youth to play its role in building resistance against corruption which is eroding a major segment of the national resources thus restraining growth, development and prosperity. He appreciated the efforts of NAB officials for creating awareness in the public on this national issue.

NAB Deputy Director Mr. Muhammad Sajid gave an informative presentation on corruption and the role of NAB in combating this menace. His presentation included salient features of NAB Ordinance. He also explained in detail those instances whose occurrence may probably come under corruption despite being commonly thought of as otherwise. He advised the youth to be vigilant and keep an eye on the people in their surroundings who were living beyond their means.
Mr. S. M. Husnain, Director NAB A & P Wing, conducted an informal interactive session with the students to clarify their apprehensions and confusions on the working of the NAB. His encouraging attitude motivated the students to express their concern about the trial process. Students raised a lot of questions on the legal procedures and litigation process and were enthusiastic in knowing the fate of the criminals who have looted national wealth.
The event followed by a symbolic on-campus walk to reflect the concern of the younger generation against corruption. The college campus was full of zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic sentiments.
