PU VC lauds services of Dr Khalid Khan


LAHORE: (Thursday, December 30, 2021): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad has lauded the services of outgoing Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan and said that he has efficiently performed his duties and streamlined the work of his sub offices. He was addressing a farewell ceremony organized by the office of the registrar here on Thursday. PU Registrar Dr Khalid Khan, Resident Officer 1 Col (r) Umer Khalid, Resident Officer 2 Jalil Tariq, University of Education Registrar Ahmed Islam, deputy registrars and employees participated in the event. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Niaz Ahmad said that Dr Khan gave full autonomy to his staff which improved the quality of services of sub-offices. He said that Dr Khalid Khan had worked in tough times and played his important role in uplifting the university. He said that especially in recent years, he made day-and-night efforts to help regulate all the statutory bodies of the university. He said that he played his role in promotions and appointment of thousands of employees and teachers. He said that Dr Khalid Khan had contributed to this university as per the modern requirements of his office. He said that Dr Khalid Khan never entertained any pressure and dealt with everyone with a smile. He said that Dr Khan had also communicated with the Chancellor's office, HED and other offices in an excellent manner. He said that his services would be remembered in golden words in the history of Punjab University. Other officers also appreciated the and recalled the golden memories spent with Dr Khan. PU Registrar Dr Khalid Khan is retiring on December 31 i.e. today. He joined Punjab University in 1989 as Assistant Advisor Students Affairs. He remained Deputy Registrar (Admin II), Deputy Registrar (Press), Director Press and Publications, Assistant Professor at Hailey College of Commerce, Director Human Resource, Additional Registrar (Acad) and became Registrar in March 2017. He served for 32 years in the university.
