PU HCBF students visit PSE


LAHORE: (Thursday, March 16, 2017): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) students visited Pakistan Stock Exchange, Lahore chapters. The purpose of visit was to provide the students an opportunity to have practical exposure on the market trading and an insight on the working of the capital market, the recent development on the market front after inclusion of four Chinese directors on the Board of PSE added more significance to the visit. Chief Financial Officer Ghulam Mustafa in his presentation highlighted the role of Stock Exchange in promoting savings and investment in the economy; the risks to which the market is exposed were also discussed in detail. The students visited the brokerage houses to view on line trading and also the offices of CDC to understand the working of the Capital Market. Faculty Member of HCBF Fida Hussain Bukhari led the students, appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Stock Exchange in enhancing Financial Literacy amongst the students who are the prospective investors of the Market. The students applauded the efforts of the Management of College particularly the Principal Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan for providing an opportunity to have practical exposure.
