PU admissions begin - PU to ensure admission on merit: VC


LAHORE: (Monday, September 18, 2017): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir has said that PU would ensure admissions in all disciplines strictly on merit basis and maximum facilities would be provided to the candidates seeking admissions at PU. He was addressing admission stalls inauguration ceremony at New Campus here on Monday. Admission Committee Chairman Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Chairman Stalls Committee Prof Dr Shahid Kamal, deans of various faculties, heads of departments, faculty members and students were present on the occasion.

Talking to the participants, Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that PU was making rapid improvement in all spheres and next year the whole admission process would be digitalized and we would receive applications from candidates online in order to facilitate them. He advised the teachers to pay maximum attention on character building of the students. He said that PU administration was providing an environment on campus which was promoting research, academic and healthy co-curricular activities in the university. Later, the VC visited various stalls and reviewed arrangements. Punjab University has opened admissions in BSc (Hons) BS, B.Ed, BBIT, BFA, B.Com, BBA, MA, M.Ed. MSc, MPA, MBA, MFA, M.Com (3.5 year), MIM, MIOM, MBSM Morning & Self-Supporting (Afternoon/Replica/Evening) programs for the academic year 2017-18. The last date for submission of form is September 28, 2017.
