PU, KEMU to extend mutual cooperation


LAHORE: (Thursday, September 21, 2017): Punjab University and King Edward Medical University have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in various academic disciplines and promote bilateral relations to serve humanity. In this regard, an MoU signing ceremony was organized at committee room of Vice Chancellor’s office here on Thursday. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasar, KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qazi Muhammad Saeed, PU Dean Faculty of Health Sciences Prof Dr Syed Muhammad Awais and others were present on the occasion.

While briefing on the occasion, Dr Awais said that since PU aimed at establishment of medical college, KEMU would help PU in faculty development, curriculum and academic programs development. He said that both the institutions would jointly initiate research projects. He said that KEMU was an affiliated college of Punjab University till 2006 and we had a remarkable history of bilateral relations. PU VC Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that PU had set its destination of establishing medical college. He said that PU would provide its facilities to KEMU including state-of-the-art laboratories for research. KEMU VC Dr Qazi Muhammad Saeed said that PU and KEMU would jointly serve humanity through collaboration in the field of medical sciences.
