PU HCBF organizes seminar

LAHORE: (Saturday, October 28, 2017): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance in collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan conducted an awareness seminar on security features of currency notes. The objective of the seminar was to develop the skills of students in differentiating between genuine and counterfeit currency notes. Officials from Currency Department of the Local Office of SBP led by Ms. Shehla Manzoor delivered lectures in the two sessions of the seminar. HCBF Principal Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan, faculty members and over 250 students participated in the sessions. With the help of instruments, SBP Officials elaborated the salient security features of the currency notes. Practical demonstrations were highly appreciated by the students as these enhanced their skills to identify counterfeit currency notes. Speaking at this occasion, Dr Khan expressed his gratitude for the SBP officials for their collaboration in conducting such informative sessions on vital issues like currency counterfeiting. He expressed his desire for strengthening this linkage for the benefit of the academia in general and students in particular.
