PU Library organizes training sessions
PU Library organizes training sessions


LAHORE: (Monday, November 6, 2017): Punjab University Library has organized training sessions on “Finding and organizing information resources” for MPhil and PhD scholars at its internet lab. The objective of the sessions was to develop skills in students, so they can handle the information sources to avoid plagiarism in their research. Chief librarian Dr Muhammd Haroon Usmani, faculty members and more than 150 research scholars of PU attended the ceremony.

The training was provided on how to develop a search strategy; online searching techniques and databases; awareness on plagiarism and strategies to avoid; introduction and hands on training of citation software Zotero. Dr Muhammd Haroon Usmani congratulated the participants while concluding the session and asserted it as a valuable initiative of library for the PU scholars. The trainers were Syed Saleem Abbas Zaidi, Faiqa Mansoor and Kashif Khurshid, while assistant was provided by Mehatb Yahya, Muhammd Farooq and Rauf Ishaq.
