PU HCBF signed MoU with Al-Khidmat Foundation LAHORE: (Tuesday, February 20, 2018): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance has signed MoU with Al-Khidmat Foundation to explore the working relationship in the areas of mutual interest. The ceremony was held at the college and was attended by the Principal Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan, Al Khidmat Foundation's Assistant Secretary Mian Babur Hamid and faculty members. Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Mubbsher highlighted the role of college as a grooming academic institution in the transformation of students as assets to the society. He said that one of the primary objectives of education was to build a strong ethical base of students which contributes to the social and cultural values of the society. He stressed upon the need of collaboration between academia and the philanthropists to create a sense of responsibility in the youth for prompting the cause of humanity. He appreciated the efforts of Al-Khidmat Foundation in serving the deprived sections of the society. Mian Babar presented a brief review of the social welfare projects undertaken by the foundation. The projects are aimed at providing health and medical care, safe drinking water and orphan care. The partnering institutions to the MOU have agreed to join hands for grooming the students by providing them internship opportunities in the ongoing projects. Al-Khidmat has also agreed to support HCBF in exploring financial assistance for the needy students besides other areas of support. Later on Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan of HCBF and Mian Babur Hamid of Al-Khidmat Foundation signed the Memorandum. The students present at this occasion hailed the efforts of Dr. Mubbsher in promoting institutional linkages which are resulting in increasing the opportunities for the students to excel.
