Students urged to play role for socio-economic uplift


LAHORE: (Thursday, March 1, 2018): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zakria Zakar has urged the students to play their vital role in socio-economic uplift of the country. He was addressing degree awarding ceremony of Department of Electrical Engineering at the auditorium of Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology. Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Director Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani, faculty members and large number students and their parents were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zakria Zakar said He said that students must work hard for the betterment of the country. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Taqi Zahid Butt said that Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology was the oldest and highest seat of learning in Pakistan. He said that no any institution in Pakistan could compete us in number of PhD faculty members, laboratories and infrastructure. He urged the students to play their role in resolving energy crisis being faced by the country. In the ceremony, a total of 53 degrees were awarded to session 2014-2018 graduates while medals were distributed among top position holders.
