LAHORE (July 03): Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to Ali Bayat and Muhammad Kioumarsi Jartoodeh. Ali Bayat S/o Gholam Raza has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Urdu after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Dewan-e-Hafiz Ke Urdu Tarajim Aur Sharhon Ka Tehqiqi-o-Tanqedi Jaiza’. He completed his thesis under the supervision of Prof Dr Tehsin Firaqi of Urdu Department, University of the Punjab.

Muhammad Kioumarsi Jartoodeh S/o Gharban Muhammad has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Urdu after completion of his thesis entitled ‘A Comparative Study of Persian and Urdu Fiction in Twentieth Century A.D’. He completed his thesis under the supervision of Prof Dr Tehsin Firaqi of Urdu Department, University of the Punjab.
