Welcome party for BBA 4th, 2nd semesters in IBA

LAHORE: (May 07): The students must work hard and focus on their studies because their prime responsibility is to get education as per the expectations of their parents. Students should also take part in co-curricular activities because these built their personality and boost confidence.

This was stated by Punjab University Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Azhar Ikram Ahmad while addressing a welcome party in the honour of BBA 4th and 2nd semesters arranged by the students of 6th and 4th semesters at Institute of Business Administration (IBA) on Wednesday.

Former IBA Director and Director General Gujranwala Campus Prof Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik presided over the welcome party while Prof Naseer Ahmad Ajmal, Prof Dr Bashir Ahmad, Sajida Nisar, Shahid Mahmood and other faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion. Speaking as chief guest on the occasion. Prof Azhar Ikram congratulated the function’s organizing committee for arranging such a beautiful event on the greens of IBA where students through their impressive speeches proved that they have acquired the real knowledge during their studies in IBA and the institution have groomed their personalities enough to compete the market.

The acting VC praised Ehsan Malik for the services he rendered for the uplift of IBA and hoped that after his appointment as DG Gujranwala Campus, he would make the campus a great centre of knowledge and learning by utilizing his extra ordinary administrative abilities. He said after watching the parody skits in which students copied all teachers of IBA, the teachers and he himself would improve the methodology while delivering lectures in the classroom.

Prof Dr Ehsan Malik said that he was feeling honour while presiding over an event where IBA Director Prof Azhar is also present as the acting vice-chancellor of Punjab University. He said in 2009 after the start of BBA 8th semester, the institute classes of all semesters will be completed and as the students of all semesters would be taking classes simultaneously on the campus.

Prof Naseer Ahmad Ajmal gave the vote of thanks to the organizers, guests and the students. Earlier students presented various skits based on ethical lessons and for entertainment of the audience. All teachers and students enjoyed the parody session especially.
