LAHORE: (May 08): General Body meeting of Punjab University Employees Housing Society (PUEHS) was held here at Faisal Auditorium New Campus on Thursday. Society President Prof Dr Saeed Ahmad Nagra presided over the meeting.

Former President Prof Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, Chairman Prof Sajid and Director Col (retd) Sarfraz-ul-Haq and a large number of employees were also present on the occasion. In his presidential address Prof Nagra lauded the services of Prof Dr Muhammad Arif Butt and Prof Sajid and ensured the employees that their demands would be met and apprehensions would be removed.

Dr Arif Butt appreciated all members of the society for their services. He said that the income that will be generated from commercial areas of the society would be spent on the welfare of university employees’ children. He said that the scheme was launched in 2002 and they confronted many problems during the period.

Society’s Chairman Prof Sajid said that there was none other society in Lahore which had started development work as quickly as compared to PUEHS. He said that the development work of Town-II would be completed in 15 months. Society’s Director Col (retd) Sarfraz-ul-Haq presented the details of development works initiated in the society.
