LAHORE: (May 09): Punjab University Laboratory High School organized annual prize distribution ceremony here New Campus on Friday in which position holders of different classes in annual examination 2008 were given prizes.

School Former Principal Mrs Rehana Ahmad was the chief guest while Principal Muhammad Ashgaq Chaudhry, Vice-Principal Nusrat Maqsood, faculty members and parents of students were also on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Rehana Ahmad congratulated the position holders and advised them to work hard more and focus on their education with commitment so that they could play their role in development of the country.

Principal Muhammad Ashfaq, presenting his welcome address said that parents play an important role in character building of the students along with teachers. He said home is the first school for every child and therefore parents must give quality time to their children for their better guidance.

Later the chief guest distributed prizes among the position holders of different classes. The position holders include Arham Jamil, Hassan Ali, Usama Bin Nawaz, Fiza Iqbal, Zainab Ali, Salman Shah, Arda Malik, Farwa Batool, Furqan Rehman, Shah Zeb Iqbal, Sameer Sajid, Muhammad Saqlain, Safee Ahmad, Arham Malik, Asad Ali Butt, Ameer Hamza, Muhammad Ali, Najam-ul-Islam, Shaab Ibn-e-Amir, Shahroz Arshad, Muhammad Abdullah, Salman Zaheer, Chaudhry Ahmad Tauseef, Awais Qarni and Asad Hafeez.

On the occasion an exhibition was also arranged, Department of Secondary Education Chairperson Dr Mumtaz Akhtar inaugurated the exhibition. Students displayed their stalls of paintings and other hand-made crafts.
