LAHORE (Wednesday, March 11): Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to Zeeshan Ali, Zahid Ahmad, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Abdul Qayyum and Habib-ur-Rahman.
Zeeshan Ali S/o Muhammad Yaqoob Raie has been awarded PhD in the subject of Chemistry after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Lipid Studies of Mangifera Indica Kernel For Industrial Exploitation' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Institute of Chemistry Dr Hamid Latif Siddiqui.
Zahid Ahmad S/o Muhammad Fazal has been awarded PhD in the subject of Mathematics after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Gravitational Collapse: A Key Issue in General Relativity' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Department of Mathematics Prof Dr Muhammad Sharif.
Muhammad Nawaz S/o Sardara has been awarded PhD in the subject of Islamic Studies after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Izzuddin Abu-ul-Aziz Ibn Abd-us-Salam's Theory of Objectives of the Shari'ah (Research & Analysis)' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre (SZIC) Dr Muhammad Ijaz.
Muhammad Abdul Qayyum S/o Khuda Bakhsh has been awarded PhD in the subject of Islamic Studies after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Civil Religion (A Critical Analysis)' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre (SZIC) Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad Gondal.
Habib-ur-Rahman S/o Abdul Rahman Aziz has been awarded PhD in the subject of Arabic after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Sufi Thought in the Poetry of Al-Burai and Iqbal (An Analytical and Comparative Study)' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Oriental College Principal Prof Dr Mazhar Moeen.
