LAHORE: (September 12): Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to Mohsin Khan, Sadia Sharif, Umber Sheikh and Fouzia Qamar.

Mohsin Khan S/o Ubaid Alam Khan has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Molecular Biology after completion of his theses entitled ‘Prospect of Stem Cells for the Repair of Aging Heart in Mice' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Prof Dr Shaheen N Khan of National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab .

Sadia Sharif D/o Muhammad Sharif Akhtar has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Molecular Biology after completion of her theses entitled ‘Studies on the Cellular Therapy for Damaged Organ' . She completed her thesis under the supervision of Prof Dr Shaheen N Khan of National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab .

Umber Sheikh S/o Muhammad Akram Sheikh has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Mathematics after completion of her theses entitled ‘Wave Properties in Black Hole Magnetospheres' . She completed her thesis under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Sharif of Department of Mathematics, University of the Punjab .

Fouzia Qamar D/o Muhammad Qamar Ullah has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Zoology after completion of her theses entitled ‘Prospects of Agrobacterium Tumefaciens as a Biocontrol Agent' . She completed her thesis under the supervision of Prof (retd) Dr Firdausia Azam Ali while PU Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Chairperson Dr Shahida Hasnain was Co-Supervisor.
