LAHORE (July 19): Punjab University spokesman has contradicted a news item published in a section of press on Saturday as baseless and unfactual. The said news had claimed that the MA/MSc candidates at PU examination centre, Wahdat Road are worried due to load-shedding and non-availability of drinking water at PU examination centre.
Contradicting this claim, the spokesman said the electricity is provided to the PU by double feeder system and if one feeder goes off due to load-shedding, the electricity is provided to examination centre and other departments of the varsity through the other feeder. About cold drinking water, he said the arrangement of cold drinking water has been made ensured not only to candidates but also for their parents/guardian coming along with most of female students.
Additional Controller Mlaik Muhammad Zaheer has said the vice-chancellor had made an emergency visit to the examination centre last day and enquired the candidates about the facilities being provided to them over which they expressed their satisfaction on the facilities. |
