LAHORE (April 21): Punjab University National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) arranged a special public defense lecture of PhD theses entitled ‘Transforamtion of Cotton with Bt Genes to Develop Sustainable Resistance’.
PhD Scholar Bushra Rashid made presentation on the topic and answered queries of the audience. PU CEMB’s Prof Dr Tayyab Hasnain was the supervisor of the theses while Dean Faculty of Agricultural, Agriculture University, Faisalabad Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan was the external supervisor. CEMB Director Prof Dr Sheikh Riaz-ud-Din, faculty members and a large number of PhD scholars were present on the occasion.
Centre’s MPhil/PhD programme Incharge Dr Ahmad Ali Shaid told that the centre had produced 42 PhD scholars since its establishment while as many as 100 PhD students have been enrolled at the centre. |
