LAHORE (Tuesday, March 24): Punjab University administration has decided to organize book fair 2009 from April 9-11 this year. The decision in change of date was taken in a meeting of book fair management committee held here in the Vice-Chancellor's Office Committee Room on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Mujahid Kamran chaired the meeting.

The vice-chancellor took briefing from the conveners of the sub-committees of the book fair and issued various instructions regarding management of the book fair on the occasion. He said that PU teachers and merit students from all departments, colleges and institutes of the varsity would help the administration to organize this book fair.

Applications for booking of stalls from publishers and booksellers for PU Book Fair 2009 have been invited and April 3 has been fixed as the last date for submission of applications. All the publishers, booksellers and organizations of computer business have been invited for participation.

The applications could be submitted to Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning and Stalls Management Committee Convener Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar at Oriental College , Old Campus and Chief Librarian Chaudhary Muhammad Hanif at Main Library, New Campus on or before April 3.

Keeping in view the previous year's maximum warm participation of students and others visitors, the administration has decided to also establish stalls on the lawns adjacent to the corridor.
