LAHORE (Monday, March 03): Punjab University Department of History in collaboration with Pakistan Study Centre (PSC) will organize a seminar on “Islamic Medicine: Perspective on its Contemporary Revival in South Asia and the Middle East ” today (Wednesday, March 4) at 10:00am in the auditorium of History Department.

Prof Dr Kelly Pemberton of George Washington University will be the keynote speaker. Dr Kelly is an eminent scholar of Islam, South Asia, Sufism, Middle East and Gender Studies and has written, published and edited voluminous works on sacred Symbols and the Articulation of identities in South Asia and Women Mystics and Sufi Shrines in the subcontinent. She has also completed various projects on women in the Middle East and Asia .
