LAHORE (Friday, March 06): Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to Abdur Rauf Nizami and Farkhunda.

Abdur Rauf Nizami S/o Muhammad Murad has been awarded PhD in the subject of Geology after completion of his thesis entitled ‘Sedimentology of the Samana Suk formation (middle juressic) in tran-indus Ranges Pakistan ' . He completed his thesis under the supervision of Punjab University Institute of Geology Prof Dr Riaz Ahamd Sheikh while his co-supervisor was Prof (Retd.) Dr Shafeeq Ahmad of Institute of Geology .

Farkhanda D/o Mian Abdul Ghafoor has been awarded PhD in the subject of Biochemistry after completion of her thesis entitled ‘Development of Assay for Thyroid Autoantibodies and clinical applications during pregnancy' . She completed her thesis under the supervision of Director Punjab University School of Biological Sciences Prof Dr Waheed Akhtar.
