Criteria & Allocation of Seats for M.A. M.Sc. 2007-08 |

Admission shall be made on the basis of the Basic Criteria and Additional Criteria, if any, of the individual Institute/Constituent College/Department.
(a) Basic Criteria
1/4 of total marks obtained in Matriculation plus 1/5 of total marks obtained in Intermediate plus total marks of * B.A./B.Sc. etc. Admission be made as per order of year of preference. Additional 20 marks for **Hafiz-e-Qur'an to be included wherever applicable.
(b) Additional Criteria
As given against each /Institute/Constituent College/Department. |

ORDER OF PREFERENCE
Subject to the provisions of Admission Regulations, admission against merit seats will be made according to the following order of preference:-
Those who passed B.A. / B.Sc/B.Com.
• First Annual Examination, 2007 & Second Annual Examination, 2006.
• First Annual Examination, 2006.
• First and Second Annual Examination, 2005. |
| Note: Additional marks, wherever applicable, for any particular subject will be counted only if the said subject was taken as an elective subject. |

| * B.A. (Hons.) graduates from Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre are also eligible to apply against merit seats in the Departments of Arabic, Business administration, English, History, Institute of Education & Research, Islamic Studies, Kashmir Studies, Library & Information Science, Law College, Communication Studies, Administrative Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education. Their merit shall be determined by multiplying their marks by 0.90. |

The candidate should produce a certificate from a well established institution to the effect that he/she is Hafiz-e-Qur'an. Moreover, Departmental Admission Committee shall interview the candidate and make sure that the candidate had learnt the Holy Qur'an by heart and could recite it from whatever portion he/she is required to recite |
