Reserved Seats ...
      Note:- Reserved Seats shall be allotted only to students eligible according to the Regulations for Admission in the particular Program (In each morning regular program included in Annexure-l, except where otherwise indicated).

Children / spouses/ real brothers or sisters/nephews or nieces (in this order of priority) of the Punjab University Teachers, serving or retired (excluding teachers on deputation/part-time teachers) with a service of not less than 5 years. 2.5% (with a minimum of one seat)

Children/spouses/real brothers or sisters/nephews or nieces (in this order of priority) of the Punjab University Employees, serving or retired, with a service of not less than 5 years.

2.5% (with a minimum of one seat)

Foreign students (whose names are recommended by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan, according to the prescribed procedure).

1 % (with a minimum of one seat)
Vice-Chancellor may permit the admission of more eligible foreign applicants on the recommendations of Dean of Faculty and Director/Principal/Chairman Teaching Institute/Constitute College/Department.

Children/wards of martyrs/war disabled personnel of the Defence Forces (in the absence of this category, children/wards of serving or retired personnel of the Armed Forces) to be nominated by the G.H.Q Adjutant General Branch.

1% (with a minimum of one seat)

Disabled persons on humanitarian grounds (to be approved by the Vice-Chancellor after a case has been made out by the Chairman of the Department and is supported by the Dean, of the Faculty concerned and the Committee constituted for this purpose).

Outstanding Sports Persons. (Selected on the recommendations of the Special Committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for the said purpose).

Students nominee from Azad Kashmir (to be nominated by the respective Nomination Board and recommended by the Federal Govt.)

4 seats in the whole University (other than those disciplines being offered at Azad Jammu and Kashmir University ).

Students nominee from Northern Areas (to be nominated by the respective Nomination Board and recommended by the Federal Govt.)

4 seats in the whole University (other than those disciplines which are being offered in Northern Areas).

Children of Kashmiries of the IHK persons displaced after 1989. 2% in Law, Business Administration and Fine Arts.

Students having distinction in Co-curricular activities to be selected by a Committee to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for this purpose.

2. RESERVED SEATS FOR B.S.(4 YEARS) PROGRAM

Additional Reserved Seats ...
 
      Apart from the general reserved seats, the following additional seats will be reserved in the Department of Library and Information Science:-

M.A. IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE :
      
*Employees of the University of the Punjab to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendations of the Admission Committee.
(i) On the basis of seniority = 1
(ii) On the basis of merit = 1

Note:- On the recommendations of the Admission Committee, the Vice-Chancellor may relax the condition of upper age limit and year of graduation in the case of above mentioned reserved seats for M.A. in Library and Information Science.
* Only those with five years University service will be eligible to apply for both these categories.
