LAHORE: (Friday, August 12, 2016): Punjab University Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Kamal has said that the whole nation of Pakistan was united against its enemies and their dreams to divide it would never come true. He was addressing Punjab University “Azadi Walk” on Friday from Undergraduate Block to Institute of Education & Research (IER).

On this occasion Registrar Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Resident Officer-I and President Academic Staff Association Prof Dr Sajid Rashid Ahmed, Vice President Prof Dr Abid Hussain Choudhary, Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain, Resident Officer-II Malik Muhamnmad Zahir, senior teachers, students and a large number of employees were also present. In his message, Dr Shahid Kamal said that it was essential to promote education culture for the sake of country’s progress and to eradicate terrorism. He said many verses of the Holy Quran urged human beings to get education.

In his address Dr Liaqat said, “We are a brave nation and we cannot be defeated by terrorist’s attacks and bomb blasts.” He said that PU Azadi Walk purpose was to convey a strong message to Pakistan’s enemies that teachers, employees and students along with the whole nation were standing with Pak Army against the war of terrorism.
