| A team of PUCIT - Punjab University College of Information Technology including 81 students lead by three faculty members (Dr. Syed Waqar ul Qounain, Mr. Anzar Ahmad and Mr. Mian Muhammad Mubasher) has successfully organized biometric election of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) at Lahore High Court, Lahore. |
| PUCIT team is organizing LHCBA's biometric elections since last three years (2015, 2016, 2017). In 2015 when PUCIT has started organizing these elections were the first time ever in Pakistan where the biometric voter verification and vote balloting was used. |

| This year from across Punjab, 21481 lawyers were to vote in the elections and over 13000 of them were registered to vote through biometric machines. Elections were conducted with manual and biometric systems working together, with over 70 new biometric machines having been installed for election this year. |

As a collective group, the Lahore High Court Bar, previously known as the Lahore Bar, started sometime before 1892-93, and for the first time in 1893 elected its first President. In 1910, it was registered as a Bar Association.
