Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, held a cordial meeting with the renowned humorous writer Hussain Ahmed Sherazi. During the meeting, both scholars discussed the importance of humor and satire as one of the most popular and influential genres of Urdu Literature. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran highlighted that humor and satire play a vital role in society by offering thoughtful criticism in an entertaining manner while providing readers with moments of joy and reflection. He appreciated the creative writing style of Hussain Ahmed Sherazi, noting that his works provide millions of readers with countless reasons to smile.
Hussain Ahmed Sherazi is the author of three widely appreciated books: بابو نگر (Baaboo Nagar)دعوتِ شیراز (Dawat-e-Sheraz), and آٹھواں عجوبہ (Aathwaan Ajooba), which have gained popularity among readers for their unique humor and insightful satire.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presented a copy of his book to Hussain Ahmed Sherazi as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for his valuable contribution to Urdu humorous literature.
