Scalar and Vector Quantities, Algebra of Vectors, Dot and Cross Products of Vectors, Differentiation and Integration of Vector Functions, Gradient of a Scalar Point Functions, Divergence and Curl of a Vector Field and Their Related Formula, Gauss’s and Green’s Theorems, Orthogonal Curvilinear Co-ordinates, Equations of the Straight Line, The Plane and the Sphere.

Complex Variables:

Complex Numbers, De-Moiver’s Theorem, Function of a Complex Variable, Derivative of Function of Complex Variable, Analytic Functions and Cauchy-Reimann Equations, Integration of Function of Complex Variable and Cauchy’s Theorem, Laurent’s Expansion and Theory of Residues, Power Series.

Fourier Series and Laplace Transform:

Introduction, Periodic Functions, Periodic Extensions, Fourier Series, Convergence of Fourier Series, Fourier Series of Functions with Arbitrary Periods, Fourier Series for Even and Odd Functions, Laplace Transform, Derivatives and Integrals, Transformation of Ordinary Differential Equations and Their Solutions, Differentiation and Integration of Transforms, Unit Step Function and Periodic Functions.

Differential Equations:

Solution of Ordinary Differential Equations in Series, Legendre and Bessel Equations, The Functions Related to Their Solutions.

Statistics:

Methods of Least Squares and Curve Fitting, Regression Analysis, Correlation and Sampling Distribution.
