A farewell party was hosted by Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences at the Auditorium of the Institute of Administrative Sciences on 02-01-2017 at 12:00 noon in honor of Dr. Hafiz Khalil Ahmad, Incharge, Department of Economics, University of the Punjab who is going to retire from University service after serving University more than 28 years. Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen- Dean, Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences and Director, Institute of Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. A. R. Jafri, Senior Faculty member, IAS, Mrs. Sajida Nisar, Incharge Director, IBA, Dr. Aamir Sarwar- Incharge Director, IBIT, Dr. Syed Salman Rizavi, Director General, Gujranwala Campus and a large number of faculty members from the faculty of Economics & Management Sciences joined the event. Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen in her address appreciated the services of Dr. Khalil. She said that Dr. Khalil has successfully completed his first phase and entering in the new phase of life after his early retirement. Dr. Khalil shared his experiences at University of the Punjab with faculty members. He thanked the Dean for arrangement of such a wonderful farewell.

Dr. Nasira presented Souvenir and bouquet to Dr. Khalil and her family. Faculty members of the Department of Economics also exchanged tokens of love and respect for him. The meeting was followed by Hi-tea arranged in the newly constructed Examination Hall of IAS.
