The event was organized by the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics to pay a tribute to the great poet, philosopher and conceiver of idea of Pakistan. Chairperson of the Department Prof. Dr. Anjum Nasim Sabri, all the faculty members and students attended the event with great enthusiasm and national spirit. Following are the brief proceedings of the event.

The event was started with the name of Allah. Verses from the Holy Quran were recited by Farzeen Zehra (BS 7th semester). Naat Rasool-e-Maqbool was presented by Saher Munawar (M.Sc 3rd semester). Different Kalami Iqbal was presented by students Ishrat Fatima, Mir Wais Khan, Rubab Ameen, Rida Fareed, Farooq, Ayesha and Rotaba. A speech was made by Amna Khalid regarding the life and message of the Iqbal “ Iqbal teri qoam ka Iqbal kho gaya”. Sania and Saher also gave tribute to Iqbal by reading Shikwa, Jawab-e-Shikwa. Dr. Abdul Rehman (Assistant Professor, MMG) presented the Persian poetry of Iqbal with translation. He particularly focused and advised students to read the books of Iqbal. Dr. Nousheen Zehra (Assistant Professor, MMG) also presented Iqbal poetry from Kulyat-e-Iqbal, she also suggested students to read and understand the message of Iqbal in its true spirit.

At the end, “Lab Pei Ati Hai Dua” was presented by a group of students. The event lasted for two hours and ended with Fatiha Khuwani conducted by Prof. Dr. Sikander Sultan (MMG).
